■Class : Anti TNF , DMARD’S
Dosage Form : Injection = 20mg / 0.4ml , 40mg / 0.8ml
■ Use :
1. Rheumatoid arthritis ( as monotherapy or with other DMARD’s )
2. Juvenile idiopathic arthritis ( as monotherapy or with methotrexate )
3. Psoriatic arthritis
4. Ankylosing spondylitis
5. Crohn’s disease
■ Pregnancy Category : ‘ B ‘ ( Animal studies show no risk to fetus , no well controlled studies in humans )
■ADR’S :
• Hypertension
. Abdominal pain
• Nausea
. Rash
. Anaphylaxis Infections
■Interactions :
• Abatacept may increase risk of serious infection ( contraindicated ) . Don’t give with live vaccination
■Monitor :
• Pain scale
• Sign and symptoms of infection
